Community Hire Investment

We are proud of the community links Flixton Girls School has established through their Community Hire programme.

Excellence within our learning environments provides opportunities for all our learners to achieve. The learning environment not only impacts upon learners and staff using our sites but extends to the communities in which our academies reside.

 

The newest school to join our Trust family, Flixton Girls School, has developed an outstanding Community Hire programme to engage their wider community, connecting to those within the local area and providing access to all their great facilities @FlixtonGirlsCommunityHire & @fgscommunityhire.

 

Over the last 12 months, FGS have facilitated community projects with organisations including clubs, support groups, sports teams, charities, and religious groups – building connections throughout the community which reach beyond traditional learning practices. Their community of consumer investment and support has enabled rejuvenation of the school environment for the benefit of our students, staff, and customers, both now and for future generations.

Income generated through collaboration with our Community Hire customer projects, last year, directly supported improvements to the 3G pitch including new nets, lights, line markings and general maintenance. This year, their hall floor has been transformed, restoring the surface in time for their 90th Anniversary celebration. By collaborating with community projects schools can future proof funding generation, which can be used for facilities maintenance whilst creating a hub for their local area.

 

We are proud of the community links Flixton Girls School has established through their Community Hire programme. Community hire of school premises enables a wide range of facilities, outside of school hours, to be used for the good of our community. In turn generating investment, enabling future generations to benefit from use of the site.
