Knowsley Lane Primary Achieves Area of Excellence

Knowsley Lane’s Early Years Achieves Area of Excellence through Challenge Partners Review
As part of the Aspire Hub, Knowsley Lane recently underwent their Challenge Partners Quality Assurance Review, with impressive results. The school has gone from strength to strength over recent years, being judged outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in 2019 and are proud to have had their work recognised by peers across the hub through their QA Review.
The review involves external practitioners from across the hub’s partnership, alongside the school’s senior leadership team, reviewing school’s provision as a joint process, examining teaching and learning and identifying areas for development. The review was highly praiseful of the school’s caring culture, team spirit and positive ethos, saying ‘pupils feel truly loved and cared for’. The report went on to praise the support that staff across school receive, particularly NQTs, resulting in improved progress and outcomes for pupils.
Reviewers were especially impressed with the Early Years provision at Knowsley Lane, stating that ‘the rate of children’s progress is rapid, with a high emphasis on building a strong basis of language development inside and outside’ and ‘one cannot fail to be impressed by the organisation, diversity, excitement and adaptability of the indoor and outdoor learning environments… Staff value the contribution that parents bring to school and they constantly strive to deepen links with the community.’
