Vantage to work with C-19 Volunteer Testing Network

4 Jun, 2020

Collaborating with the Covid-19 Volunteer Testing Network to provide antigen testing for staff

From this week, Vantage Academy Trust will be working with the Covid-19 Volunteer Testing Network to provide staff with weekly voluntary antigen testing, with results returning from the lab within 24 hours.

Our staff and pupil safety and well-being is of primary importance to the Trust and this voluntary testing programme will help to provide our school staff with further reassurance during this uncertain period.

The Covid-19 Volunteer Testing Network is a privately funded not-for-profit organisation facilitating small and medium-sized labs across the UK to run programmes of regular Covid-19 testing for their local front-line healthcare and school staff. The Network works in close collaboration with the national testing programme through Public Health England by providing additional capacity at a local level, with machines operated in-situ at no cost to the NHS and also providing templates to report back any positive results to GPs for Public Health England.

If you would like to learn more about the programme being rolled out to schools nationally, please get in touch. You can register your interest in the programme on their Covid-19 Volunteer Network’s website: https://www.covid19-testing.org/
